Nick Fillari, New Jersey's favorite son, was born an ambitious but ambivalent soul on the first of August in year of 1990. Being that Nick was a social pariah, emotional expression was an arduous expedition, and would remain as such until discovering the craft of woodworking alongside the death of his father. Working with wood proved to be the cathartic practice which had avoided him for most of his life. But wood alone was not a cause for self-expression, it had simply become the remedy. Not until the passing of Nick's most devoted supporter in life and work, his father, did a reason for self-expression become salient. Feelings never felt before needed to be defined and processed, and through his art, Nick began challenging the beliefs he held to be true within himself. Art became a tangible reflection of himself and his place in a world he was beginning to understand. He was able to digest the horrors that constricted his movement and mind, and in doing so, was able to reanimate his soul. Nick's father would not live to witness his son's true potential in the field of wood working as a trade or an art form. Now he would like to share that missing piece of himself with you.
