How can text be as interesting or exciting as a landscape, portrait, or any other subject? Through literary devices like idiom, entendre, and alliteration and inspiration from broadsides and letterpress printing I seek to explore the way that words can beguile.
Mike Ryan is an artist and a educator who lives and works in New Jersey. He completed his undergraduate studies in Printmaking and Book Arts at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Working in a variety of mediums, he uses humor as a driving force in his work.
