Nature and energy are the foundations of all living things. I find this both mesmerizing and sacred. My work addresses the importance of our connection to the Earth, the elements, the spirit world, and energetic forces. My work is made as a means of honoring or challenging perspectives; sometimes as a hope, a question, or a space of self-preservation and reflection. The Earth is abundant with beautiful treasures that I gather, transform, and am inspired by. I am fascinated by textures and colors, the power of plants, and intention. The imagery in my work is that which I respect and connect to. In my connection to the subjects I work with, I do my best to give voice and reveal the significance in undervalued or neglected materials and perspectives. There is a common energy that runs through all things which connects us all. I hope to help that idea shine through my work, blurring the lines of separation between humans and other life forces, the past and the present, our own intuition and what we are taught.
